Father - Daughter Relationships Forward by Dr. Orv Owens There are many people in our world today that are acclaimed to be an authority on subjects that affect you and me everyday. Some, with time, prove they knew what they were talking about, while the theories of most seem to create confusion, mistakes and the destruction of those things we had hoped they would enhance. In this book Zester Hatfield shares a little bit of history, and principles that have worked in his own family. This is a man that has been successful as a father to four daughters and one son, and if you could know anyone of them you would agree with me in saying, "Great Job Zester!!" I have had the pleasure of knowing the author and his family since the early 70's, and I have watched his family grow-up. The Hatfield girls are the kind of young women you pray your son will marry someday. I believe that is true for a number of reasons and they are all presented in this book. The Hatfields have not always had everything go their way, but as head of the family, the father figure, Zester always moved ahead. He set the standard of never giving up and always looked for the next positive step to take. Zester is one of the most intelligent and creative people I have ever met, and you will experience this as you enjoy the concepts he presents on these pages. Wisdom is obtained by walking the walk and learning the truth through applying God's principles in our life. Zester has a tremendous ability to articulate his lessons learned through the years of being a dad to four lovely princesses that blossomed into adulthood. I guess one of the great tests of time is what our children think of us after they have families of their own. When they choose to raise their own children the way they were raised, it is the greatest of compliments. The Hatfield women are still close to their mom and dad, just like their home was when they were growing up. Is Zester Hatfield an expert on the subject he has chosen to write about in this book? If I was you I would study these pages and learn from a man who knows what he is talking about. He has lived all of this. It's not just theory, its life in a father daughter relationship that brings the greatest reward, a loving family made up of loving people and daughters that are the kind a young man wants to take home to mom and dad. Great job Zester, you have given us all a lot to think about and strive to apply in our own family life. Thanks.
