Our financial opportunities in this great country are unequaled in any other country. Yet, there is one thing that we all must do. We must all pay our taxes.
Someone once said that the only thing worse than paying taxes is to not have any income on which to pay taxes. The success of one brings about the inevitability of the other! The question is not whether to make or not to make money, the question is: “Are you paying more taxes than you should be paying?”
It may surprise most that we have never taken on a new small company client that was not paying too much money in taxes. It is possible that there are many small to medium sized companies that are not over paying their taxes. The sad thing is how many there are that are paying too much of their hard earned money in taxes.
Why is this? What have we learned that could help you not to pay too much in taxes?
Obviously, it is not possible to give you a detailed answer, until after we have studied your business and understand your methods of posting, depreciation schedules, expensing, etc.

The short answer is: Too many business owners do not understand the tax codes, have very sloppy inhouse accounting and do not know how to structure their expenses so that they get the maximum allowable tax benefit for their company and themselves.
You say: “Yes, but what about those individuals who are supposed to serve these owners and give them the tax management service that they need?”
You are correct. The professionals who are in charge of reviewing the company’s accounting and preparing their statements and financials should do a better job. Reality is something else!
Accounting is not pure science; it is more a mixture of facts and art. The facts are the numbers. Anyone can add a column of numbers until they get it right. What do you DO with those numbers? That is the question. The DOING with the numbers is the ART—some have it and some don’t.
